its great, except it seems small. dont know if this coincides with whatever its based on or not. I was surprised when we saw them in NJ how small it was. still very cool though
This is the only figure from Conan that I have some interest in.
But there are some aspects of the figure that I don't like... what are your thoughts on it? Particulary the size, paints and detail?

I just bought him this weekend...here's what you need to consider:
The Good:
-Paint is nearly flawless, not complicated, but as "realistic" as a dragon can be.
-Sculpt is excellent, both on the figure and the base
-Figure is sturdy, I am not concerned with breakage.
The Bad:
-Figure is positively dainty. I hardly know what to display him with that won't look vaguely ridiculous.
-No real, useful articulation of any sort whatsoever. A few cut joints through the body for the sake of the mold, I imagine. You cannot even move his arms.
-Does not really fit onto the base in any way I can find, rather, the curled up part of his lower body just kinda "floats" barely above the base and looks off from just about every angle.
I recommend you take a long look at him in the store before you decide he is worth the expense.
Yeah, that's a good point. He didn't fit on the peg at all. The peg was way too big, and it was at the wrong angle anyway.
So I just cut off the peg and he sits on the base perfectly without it.

Mine seats completely on the peg and against the base, but the tail is still "levitating". *shrug*
How does it stand up against the UO Ancient Wyrm? The one of those I opened had balance issues, and the wings don't fit properly where they attach, leaving a gap instead of a flush connection. Since this new one appears to have its weight centered better I thought a keen display might be to have the two of them engaged in battle somehow. I'm hoping these precursory attempts are helping to make the dragons line as spectacular as we expect it to be.
I love the figure, the paint and sculpt are top notch, however it needs to be posed next to a 3.75" SW figure to look remotely menacing. I love his design, but, Ancient Wyrm would look like his daddy next to him.
When I put him with Belit (as they're supposed to be displayed) and it was pitiful.
Made her look like this big evil mean woman about to kill a baby dragon, who was hardly able to breathe fire. Maybe a little puff of smoke and a "hack"
